Description   Thermocouple Extension Wire Assembly Extension wires are used to connect the thermocouple to the pyrometer. Danin offer various lengths of these extensions. Extension wires have a 2-PIN AMP connector at one end. This end mates with the AMP connector on the Danin/Pricol pyrometer. The other end of the extension wire connects to the thermocouple.High quality extension wires are important for measurement accuracy. Danin extension wires offer very low resistance as high resistant values produce incorrect temperature readings. After the thermocouple is properly installed in the exhaust manifold and is secured against vibration, it is ready for the extension wire connection. We recommend that you drill a 1/4" hole in the firewall, install the rubber grommets and thread (route) the extension wire into the engine compartment. Make sure the AMP connector remains inside the cab. Connect the thermocouple positive (yellow) wire and negative (red) wire to the correstponding color on the extension wire. After the connection is secured, slide the black shrink tube over the connections and shrink it using a heat gun. You will need the following tools to complete this assembly: 1.
